INK Architecture is a small team of architectural designers based in Cambridge, working with clients across New Zealand on homes, renovations and commercial spaces that are built around people and place.

Our Team
Nick Timms | Director / Architectural Designer
Nick is the founder of INK and brings over 15 years of hands-on experience across residential and commercial projects. His calm, practical approach and eye for detail help clients feel confident and supported throughout the process. Nick believes great design is about more than how something looks — it’s about how it works, how it feels and how well it fits the people who will use it.
When he’s not at the drawing board, you’ll find him out for a run, on the golf course or hanging out with his kids.
Druden Watene | Architectural Designer
Druden has been with INK for over six years and brings a calm, relatable energy to the team. With a background in industrial and commercial architecture, he combines practical experience with a sharp eye for design and emerging trends. He’s especially skilled in 3D modelling and concept development, often sketching ideas by hand as part of his creative process.
Outside of work, Druden enjoys a round of golf (still chasing his boss on the scorecard), catching up with mates and keeping up with the latest in architecture and design.
Mathew Brown | Architectural Designer
Matthew is our go-to for construction knowledge and technical clarity. He’s constantly refining how we document our projects, aiming for concise, buildable solutions that keep things clear for both builders and council. With a solid grasp of building regulations and a healthy respect for the consent process, he brings practical insight to every stage of a project.
In his spare time, you’ll find him watching NRL (slowly converting to a Warriors fan), following American sports or casually knocking out half marathons during the week.
